Please join us for the Math For All Austin Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon on Friday, April 5 in the PCL Data Lab in the Scholars Lab. The Math For All in Austin Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon is meant to raise awareness for the lack of gender and racial representation in Wikipedia biographies in math and across many other disciplines and to provide resources for people to learn how to edit Wikipedia entries and work towards closing those gaps.

No prior editing experience is required and participation in the conference is not required to participate in the Edit-a-thon. We will begin with a tutorial on how to edit Wikipedia pages and provide a list of pages that need editing. Edits can be as simple as fixing broken links, adding wiki-links, and updating references. More experienced editors can add new content to pages, or even add new articles.

If you would like to participate, please register herePizza dinner and snacks will be provided. More details about the event are on our website.
