Position Title: Maps Senior Student Associate
Department: Access: Fine Arts, Humanities, & Global Studies Unit - Maps Department

Position is subject to renewal each semester.
Work Schedule: Flexible
Duties:
- Filing maps and check drawer organization
- Shelving atlases, travel guides, and cartographic reference books
- Stamp, label, and scan recently added maps
- Withdrawing superseded maps
- Catalog maintenance preparation
- Pick up and count materials used in the Map Room
- Assist patrons when possible
- Special projects
Required Qualifications:
- UT Austin student enrolled in minimum of 6 credits for the spring 2026 semester
- Familiarity with the office equipment
- Good computer skills
- Excellent communication skills and detail oriented.
- The ability to handle confidential matters and to be professional.
- Willingness to tackle new projects.
- Ability to work between 8-10 hours per week
Working Conditions: Regular indoor working conditions.
Rate of Pay: $13.00/hour
