This position supports the daily operations of the Processing and Acquisitions Units through the processing of the physical materials.

Hourly Student Employment - Digital Repository Assistant (open to work-study and non-work-study)

This position supports Texas ScholarWorks, the University of Texas at Austin institutional repository, by assisting with repository deposit workflows, metadata review, item quality control, and service support for scholarly communication projects in Open and Digital Scholarship Services. The student worker will work under the supervision of Gilbert Borrego and collaborate with ODSS colleagues to help make UT Austin scholarship easier to discover, preserve, and share.

Hourly Student Employment - Foundry Student Associate (open to work-study and non-work-study)

Provide welcoming, inclusive makerspace support to patrons in the Fine Arts Library by delivering customer service, technical assistance, and instructional programming while maintaining equipment, fostering collaboration, and supporting a safe, collaborative learning environment.

Hourly Student Employment - Map Room Senior Student Assistant (open to work-study and non-work-study)

Assist with daily maintenance of the physical map collection and work on special projects.

Hourly Student Employment - Student Technical Assistant (open to work-study and non-work-study)

The Digitization Student Technical Assistant will work with UT Libraries’ Digitization Services to support the specialized reformatting of UTL collection materials. This position’s goal is to increase access to rare, fragile, obsolete, and/or oversized library materials, and to play a key role in the preservation of said items. Digitization creates a digital copy of research materials and at-risk items, thus improving access and serving as a key preservation tool.
