Visitor EID information

Use of Computers & Online Databases

Visitors can use library computers and most of our databases, if you come to one of our 9 campus libraries and request a Visitor EID.

Borrowing Library Materials

  • Get a Library Card - please read this page before coming to campus for a library card.
    • If you are a Texas resident and have a public library card you can get a free UT library card through the TexShare Card Program.  First you need to register and receive a TexShare card from your local library. Then go to the PCL Research Help & Check Out Desk when Courtesy Borrower Services is open with your TexShare card and photo I.D. and ask for a Courtesy Borrower card.
  • Library Online Catalog - Use the library catalog to find books, DVDs, CDs, maps, scores, and whether or not the library has a specific magazine, newspaper or journal title.
  • Printing and Photocopies - Printing from computers and using photocopiers in the libraries requires a copy card.
