an ember that blazes forever, latinas that made american history
April 1 - June 1
Exhibit: An Ember That Blazes Forever
All Day Event
UFCU Room | Perry-Castañeda Library

The influence of Latinas in American politics,  arts, and culture has always been apparent but  seldom talked about or explored. As educators,  policy makers, artists, scientists, and activists,  Latinas have shaped the history of this country  and will continue to do so as their influence  grows. This select collection of materials either created or regarding significant Latinas in the  United States represents only a few of these  extraordinary women and just a fragment of  materials available from UT Libraries.

This exhibition was curated by Gilbert Borrego, Digital Repository Specialist, UT Libraries, 2023.
