The UT OER Working Group (University of Texas Libraries, Texas Digital Library, and COERLL) is organizing a workshop to share affordable course material options, including open educational resources (OER) and library-licensed materials that are available at low or no cost to students. Special emphasis will be placed on freely available, digital course materials to support instructors and students and foster innovative pedagogy in a virtual learning environment.
Participants will learn about the spectrum of affordable course materials, the benefits they offer to instructors and students, and why now is an impactful time to consider making a switch. We’ll have some hands-on time to explore the resources available in commonly used OER discovery tools and tell you about other affordable course material options available from the Libraries.
The workshop is free and open to university faculty, graduate students, and staff. Registration is required. Register here.
