Wednesday Feb. 27
Research Speed-Dating
5 to 6:30 p.m.
Perry-Castañeda Library

Perry-Castañeda Library, Learning Lab 1

The University of Texas at Austin Science Communication Interest Group, Thinking in Public, the UT Center for Health Communication, and the UT Department of History present Research Speed-Dating, a professional development event that hones your ability to explain your research to laypersons.

You’ll receive feedback from attendees outside your discipline —

  • what they do and don’t understand,
  • their sense of why your research matters
  • suggestions for communication and presentation style

— which you can immediately incorporate and try again. You’ll provide the same feedback for others.

Open to all university students and faculty, but space is limited! RSVP https://tinyurl.com/y7ly3f7b

Speed-Dating: 5-6 p.m.
