- SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE OUTAGE: Beginning Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 8:00 p.m. CDT, the Libraries’ online catalog will be experiencing downtime for a period of up to 24 hours to perform required maintenance. Access to Libraries’ resources and other services (including access to patron accounts and renewals) will be unavailable during this period. Access to databases and HathiTrust resources will not be impacted during this outage. Services are expected to resume full functionality by 8:00 p.m. CDT Sunday, May 30, 2021. Services at a glance
Libraries Building and Services Hours | Hours for building access, research help and borrowing & library account help. Only PCL and the Life Science Library are open at this time. All other Libraries' locations, including the Foundry, are closed. |
PCL Occupancy | 400 people are allowed in PCL at any one time. Check occupancy limits before visiting. UT ID required. Access limited to current UT students, faculty and staff. |
Check out library materials | Pickup available at PCL for students, faculty and staff. |
Request a scan | Students, faculty and staff can request a scan of book chapters or articles. We are unable to make scans for unafilliated researchers or other libraries. |
Return library materials | Return at the PCL book drop, the Pickle Research Campus (PRC) book drop*, or by mail. |
Course Materials | Faculty can request online access to course materials. |
Interlibrary Loan | Requests filled using electronic material if possible, and physical/print material if the user is able to pick it up from PCL. |
Computer labs | PC Lab, Media Lab and Data Lab open at PCL. Beginning May 10, PCL Media Lab and Data Lab Macs are being taken down and will be unavailable for the summer. We expect new Macs in place for the fall. |
Remote software use | Access computer lab software from anywhere. Remote access to all Mac software (PCL Media Lab, Data Lab, FAL Macs and Foundry Macs) will end by mid-May. |
Research help | Offered via chat, email and virtual consults. |
Library instruction | Faculty can request instruction for tailored course support. |
