Social Work

The Social Work collection supports teaching, learning, and research through the Ph.D. level in social work, with attention given to the areas of concentration of the UT School of Social Work: social work administration, social work as a profession, social problems, legislation and social policy, social work methods-theory and practice, international social work, social welfare and service delivery systems, and social work research.

English is the primary language of collection, with a focus on studies concerning the United States and Western Europe. The interdisciplinary nature of social work compels several subject specialist librarians to work together to provide appropriate coverage for their constituencies, particularly in the biological sciences and social sciences.

Electronic and print format materials are collected to meet the needs of users. Periodicals and products of mainstream U.S. publishers are collected in electronic format, when available.
