Radio, Television, Film

The radio, television, and film (RTF) collection supports teaching, learning, and research through the Ph.D. level in radio, television, and film, with attention given to the UT Department of Radio, Television, and Film’s main areas of study: RTF (production, history, criticism, writing, theory, technology, globalization) and gaming (production, management, directing, producing.)

English is the primary language of the collection though other languages are selectively collected. German and French language materials are of strong interest. The interdisciplinary nature of RTF compels several subject specialist librarians to work together to provide appropriate coverage for their users, particularly in the fine art, computer science and technology, sociology, women’s and gender studies, and global and area studies.

Electronic and print format materials are collected to meet the needs of users. Periodicals and products of mainstream U.S. publishers are collected in electronic format when available. Non-traditional format materials are selectively collected.
