The nutrition collection supports teaching and research through the doctoral level. Interest in these areas is centered in, but not limited to, the Department of Nutritional Sciences. Students and faculty in related fields (such as biology, human development & family sciences, nursing, pharmacy) also have many needs in this area.

Access to journals is paramount and electronic format is preferred for journals and periodicals whenever possible.

Monographic materials may be either print or electronic format. The collection focus is works in English, emphasizing recent research. The collection includes selectively purchased upper-division textbooks, materials on food studies and cookery, popular works, encyclopedias, dictionaries, and films.

Other considerations for support include the Dell Pediatric Research Institute.
