The computer science collection supports teaching, learning, and research through the doctoral level in all areas of computer science, with special attention on the areas of artificial intelligence, machine learning, algorithms, computer systems and architecture, security, theoretical and scientific computing, formal methods, gaming and mobile applications, visualization, operating systems, human-computer interaction, usability, robotics, big data, programming languages, numerical and statistical applications, and the IT profession. Interdisciplinary research in the field of bioinformatics and computational biology is also supported.
English is the primary language of the collection, with a focus on research published in the United States, Europe, and Asia.
For both monographic and periodical publications, printed format materials are collected when that is the only option, electronic format materials are preferred in almost all situations, particularly for journals.
