The communication studies collection supports teaching, learning, and research through the Ph.D. level in communication studies, with attention given to the UT Department of Communication Studies’ main areas of study: cross cultural / international communications, interpersonal communications, organizational communications, and oral interpretation.
English is the primary language of the collection with a focus on the United States and Western Europe. The interdisciplinary nature of communication studies compels several subject specialist librarians to work together to provide appropriate coverage for their users, particularly in the social sciences and humanities.
Electronic and print format materials are collected to meet the needs of users. Periodicals and products of mainstream U.S. publishers are collected in electronic format, when available.
