Communication Sciences and Disorders

The communication sciences and disorders collection supports teaching, learning, and research through the Ph.D. and AuD level in communication sciences and disorders, with attention given to the UT Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders’ main areas of study: audiology, speech-language pathology, deaf education, and deaf studies.

English is the primary language of the collection, with some materials concerning American Sign Language and English as a Second Language. Geographical focus is not applicable. The interdisciplinary nature of communication sciences and disorders compels several subject specialist librarians to work together to provide appropriate coverage, particularly in educational and medical studies, and engineering and technology.

Electronic and print format materials are collected to meet the needs of users. Periodicals and products of mainstream U.S. publishers are collected in electronic format when available.
