Content Abstract: In the 1960s John C. Kight purchased a small collection of glass plate negatives at an estate sale in the Alamo Heights area of San Antonio. While the photographer is unknown, the images appear to have been taken in and around San Antonio with a few taken in New Braunfels.

Biographical/Historical Note

John C. Kight was director of transportation planning and development for 35 years with the Texas Department of Transportation – San Antonio District. He serves director and vice-president of the Cow Creek Groundwater Conservation District, is a member of the South Central Texas Regional Water Planning Group for Region L and is a former Kendall County Commissioner.

Scope and Content Note

In the 1960s John C. Kight purchased a small collection of glass plate negatives at an estate sale in the Alamo Heights area of San Antonio. While the photographer is unknown, the images appear to have been taken in and around San Antonio with a few taken in New Braunfels.
