Historical Note

The Business & Professional Women's Club of A La Nueva a San Antonio branch of the Business and Professional Women's Club of Texas was organized to offer professional women an opportunity to gather and promote their interests as well as to provide "mutual helpfulness." A La Nueva club is located in San Antonio

The collection is made up of material from the A La Nueva and State groups and spans the years 1997-2009, it includes correspondence, meeting minutes and agendas, by-laws and updates. Several newsletters from State and regional Business and Professional Women’s units, Nike Note,Texas Women,Shenanigans,The Advocate, are among the newsletters. There are Business Women magazines, clippings, monthly, mid-year, and annual reports; annual budgets, yearbooks, proclamations, membership applications, list, and award submissions materials document the structure, activities, interests, events and business transactions of the Club. Also included are invitations and cards, flyers, brochures and programs for conferences, seminars, workshops, and luncheons; state convention materials, and Histories of BPW also make up the collection.
