John D. Fletcher has bachelor and master's degrees in social studies from Sul Ross State University. Fletcher taught government and history at Fox Tech High School until his death in 1963.
This collection consists of 3 manuscripts: 2 authored by Fletcher and one by Walter Prescott Webb. Also included is a 25th Reunion publication from Fox Tech High School with a dedication to Fletcher.
Biographical NoteJohn D. Fletcher was born in 1936 in Overton, Texas. He received bachelor and master's degrees in social studies from Sul Ross State University. He married Esther Clark in 1959 and the couple soon moved to San Antonio to teach at Fox Tech High School. Fletcher taught history and government and was involved with the school band. He died in April 1963 of myocarditis.
