The Bexar County Truck Farmer's Association was organized to engage in activities in connection with farming, harvesting, financing, marketing and selling of the agricultural products of its members.

Historical NoteThe Bexar County Truck Farmer's Association was organized to engage in activities in connection with: the marketing or selling of the agricultural products of its members; the harvesting, preserving, drying, processing, canning, packing, storing, handling, shipping or utilization of it's members products; the manufacturing or marketing of by-products; the selling or supplying of machinery or equipment; or with the financing of the above activities.
Truck farming is the cultivation of one or a few fruit or vegetable crops on a relatively large scale for transport to distant markets where the crop cannot be grown due to climate.
Truck farms often grow seasonal crops. The use of trucks to transport products to market increased in popularity following the establishment of state and federal high systems.
