Content Abstract: The collection spans the years 1818 through 1974 and is comprised of letters, various legal and genealogical documents, other manuscripts, and printed material pertaining to the history of South Central Texas.

Scope and Content Note

The collection spans the years 1818 through 1974 and is comprised of letters, various legal and genealogical documents, other manuscripts, and printed material pertaining to the history of South Central Texas. Included in the letters is correspondence from J. Marvin Hunter, author and editor of The Frontier Times in Bandera, Texas. There are seven copies of the Niles' Weekly Register, from 1818-1835. Four documents are related to the Weiss family genealogy, including a naturalization certificate and marriage certificates.
