A Guide to the Bella Glasberg Papers regarding San Antonio Jewish women's organizations, 1936-1972
Biographical NoteMrs. Bella Glasberg was an active member of several Jewish women’s organizations in San Antonio. The height of her activity occurred from the 1930’s to the 1960’s. She was elected president of the San Antonio Section, National Council of Jewish Women for the 1943-1944 term. Glasberg also served as president and was a long-term member of The San Antonio Chapter of Hadassah. Scope and ContentsThe Bella Glasberg Papers document her involvement in San Antonio Jewish women’s organizations from 1936-1970, and consist of administrative records, printed materials, ephemera and a scrapbook. This collection documents Glasberg’s activities in The San Antonio Chapter of Hadassah, The San Antonio Section, National Council of Jewish Women and other Jewish organizations. There is a small amount of correspondence and reports, most of which concerns Glasberg’s term as president of The San Antonio Section, National Council of Jewish Women from 1943-1944.
