Historical Note

The Resi-Terns is a social club open to UTMB interns, residents, fellows and their spouses. The Resi-Terns was founded in 1959 by Mrs. John Starkey. She felt that a large medical institution should have an organization through which the interns, residents, and their wives could get acquainted.

This collection consists of 5 oversize boxes of 5 volumes of scrapbooks containing clippings, newsletters, photographs and directories relating to the Resi-Terns. The volumes date from 1961-1991.

Detailed Description of Collection

 

OVERSIZE BOX 1-5/Resi-Terns (BV 6)
In an effort to preserve the documents in the scrapbook, Volume 1 had to be dismantled. The newspaper clippings were photocopied. Pages with mixed items such as clippings mixed with photographs were retained. These items were placed in an archival box
