BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

1888 Born in Grand Haven, Michigan.
1911 Received his B.S. degree from The University of Chicago.
1913-15 Served as a research assistant in genetics, Carnegie Institute's Desert Botanical Laboratory, Tuscon, Arizona.
ca. 1916 Served in the meteorological service of the Signal Corps during World War I.
1921 Assistant Professor in Anatomy and Physiology, North Dakota School of Medicine.
1925 Received his M.S. degree, North Dakota.
1928 Received his Ph.D. from The University of Wisconsin.
1928-46 Professor of Histology and Embryology, UTMB.
1946-58 Professor of Anatomy (Histology and Embryology); Consulting Embryologist, John Sealy and Affiliated Hospitals.
1958 Retirement from UTMB; still active as Professor Emeritus until death.
1973 Died in Galveston, Texas, on January 12.
