COLLECTION DESCRIPTION

The Texas Alpha Chapter of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society was founded in 1920 with a charter membership of 13 medical students and 5 faculty members. The organization's motto is "To be worthy to serve the suffering." It aims to promote scholarship and research in medical schools, to encourage a high standard of character and conduct among medical students and graduates, and to recognize high attainment in medical science, practice and related fields.
