Historical Background

Delta Theta Phi is a professional legal fraternity founded in 1913 as a result of merging of three fraternities, Delta Phi Delta, Alpha Kappa Phi, and Theta Lambda Phi. The fraternity chapters are called Senates. Sam Houston Senate, the University of Texas School of Law chapter, was chartered in 1916. Delta Theta Phi publishes The Paper Book magazine and The Adelphia Law Journal.
