Mary Ann Smothers Bruni "Los Pastores" Photographs, 1980s-
Mary Ann Smothers Bruni is a photographer and filmmaker in San Antonio, Texas. Her photographs of the "Los Pastores" festival, Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in San Antonio, and of the Kurds in northern Iraq have been exhibited widely. She is the author of Journey Through Kurdistan, Los Pastores: A Limited Edition of Fine Art Prints Celebrating Los Pastores, and the children's book El sueño de Rosita/Rosita's Christmas Wish.
Approximately 1,100 photographs by Mary Ann Smothers Bruni document the "Los Pastores" festival as traditionally performed in San Antonio Texas from the 1980s through the 2000s.
