Merlin H. Forster Collection on Vanguardism In Latin American Literature, 1920-1988
Scope and Contents NoteCollection of articles on the avant-garde literary movements in Latin America, which includes material written about or authored by the proponents of most of Latin America's avant garde movements, such as: antropofagia, concretism, estridentismo, runrunismo and ultraismo. Photocopies of articles, arranged geographically by country, and alphabetically by author. Compiled as a result of an 18 month grant from NEH during which Dr. Merlin H. Forster collected primary materials addressing the issue of vanguardism in Latin American belles-lettres from 1920 through 1935, as well as secondary materials since 1935. Most of the work is at the Benson Latin American Collection, with a secondary archive including copies of additional items collected but not included in author's Vanguardism in Latin American Literature (New York : Greenwood Press, 1990) which was the main purpose of the work. The second archive is located at Brigham Young University. Return to the Table of Contents RestrictionsAccess RestrictionsUnrestricted. Use RestrictionsStandard copyright restrictions apply.
