A New Deal agency which operated 1937-1942, formerly the Resettlement Administration (1935-1937). The Historical Section within the FSA documented agriculture, industry, and social life through photographs.

 Scope and Contents Note

Images show Mexican or Mexican American agricultural workers and their families in the American Midwest. Russell Lee's photographs were taken in Minnesota during September and October of 1937; John Vachon's photographs were taken in Saginaw County, Michigan, in August, 1941. The photographs show migrant agricultural laborers who worked in the sugar beet industry and their families.

Organized in two series: 1. Russell Lee photographs, and 2. John Vachon photographs. Arranged numerically according to LC-assigned numbers.
