Panamanian anthropologist Brittmarie Janson Pérez is the author of En nuestras propias voces: Panama protesta, 1968-1989 (English language version available as Dr. Pérez's dissertation The Process of Political Protest in Panama: 1968-1989) and Golpes y tratados: piezas para el rompecabezas de nuestra historia.

Scope and Contents Note

The collection consists of documents, clippings, audio recordings, and artifacts collected by Janson Pérez for writing research. The audio recordings and some research papers and artifacts are described in this guide, but the bulk of the papers are currently unprocessed and located in off-site storage. All material is open for research use, however. Contact the Benson Collection Rare Books and Manuscripts Reading Room to request access.
