Historical Note
Founded in 1918, the American Council on Education is a coordinating body for American institutions of higher education.
Scope and Contents Note
Color slides produced by the American Council on Education in cooperation with the U.S. Office of Inter-American Affairs in 1945 for presentation in schools. The slides are divided into 15 thematic series. Each series is accompanied by texts of "Suggestions for the Teacher, "Background Material," and "Descriptions" of each slide.
