Depicted are government and other buildings, monuments,
haciendas de beneficio, mines, and panoramic views of the
city. The collection contains one photograph each of the
mines Barron, San Juan la Blanca, La Dificultad, El Pabellón,
Santa Gertrudis, and El Xotol, and one each of the haciendas
de beneficio La Blanca, Guadalupe, Purísima Grande, San
Francisco, and Santa Gertrudis.
J. Bustamante Valdés (Fotografía Artística), 4a. de Matamoros Núm. 1, Pachuca, produced all of the
photographs of the haciendas de beneficio (nos. 17-21) and of the mines (nos. 22-27), as well
as five panoramic views of the city from various directions (nos. 1-5)
The remaining photographs were made by an unknown
photographer. Their subjects are the Palacio del Gobierno,
Palacio de Justicia, Banco Hidalgo, Teatro Bartolome de
Medina, Torre del Centenario, gates of the Parque Porfirio
Díaz, Instituto Literario, Portada del Panteón Municipal,
and a monument to Miguel Hidalgo.
Also in the collection are
two group photographs of members of the state legislature of
Hidalgo.
