Administrative History Note

On February 12, 1947, seven physicians met at 228 Medical Arts Building in San Antonio, Texas to organize the San Antonio Pediatric Society. The purposes of the society included promoting high standards of pediatric care, improving the practice and teaching of pediatrics, and contributing charitable, educational, and scientific benefits to the public. Officers elected included Dr. S. R. Kaliski, President; Dr. C. B. Alexander, Vice-President; and Dr. Edith Bonnet, Secretary-Treasurer. Others attending included Lucius Hill, J. A. Nunn, M.A. Ramsdell, Frank Martin, Phil Magris. A constitution and bylaws was adopted and the group decided to meet the first Tuesday of each month.
