Lee Anderson Patterson was born in Kentucky on November 27, 1865, the son of Jane Patterson. He was one of 6 children, but the father’s name is not listed in the census records for 1880. He graduated from the Louisville Medical College on March 3, 1892, and migrated to Austin, Texas. In 1896 he moved to Utopia, Texas where he practiced as a physician and operated a drug store. He married Leila Miller on December 8, 1908, but the couple had no children. He died on May 6, 1943, and was buried in Utopia.
