Scope and Contents

The Mad Men Episode 113 Collection contains scripts, set plans, shooting schedules and call sheets, casting memos, correspondence, outlines, notes, research binders, press kits, and props related to Mad Men Episode 113, "The Wheel." The materials were donated by Mad Men creator, showrunner, and executive producer Matthew Weiner, who wrote and directed the episode, with the exception of the props, which were donated by the production company Lionsgate Entertainment. The collection is comprised of five binders (Matthew Weiner’s two production binders, the script coordinator’s binder, and two research binders with research notes on the year 1960), two press kits, and two props used in the episode, a Kodak slide projector and slide carousel.

The Mad Men Episode 113 Collection has been made available for research while the remainder of the Mad Men Collection is closed for processing. The items in this inventory will be incorporated into the finding aid for the Mad Men Collection. The Mad Men Collection contains scripts, props, and production, publicity, and research materials from the series Mad Men and the film Are You Here, donated by Matthew Weiner and Lionsgate Entertainment. Highlights of the collection include a comprehensive set of Mad Men scripts, research files, and press kits, and a selection of storyboards, costume designs, set sketches, and props. The Mad Men Collection is expected to open for research in early 2018.
