Biographical Note

Leonard Brodnax Plummer (1891-1972) did his graduate studies at the University of Texas in Austin, earning master’s degrees in Athletics in 1927 and Education in 1955. Afterward, he remained at the university to work as a research assistant in the Department of Germanic Languages. During his tenure there, he directed a project that traced the development of German settlements in Texas.
