Biographical Note

Heather Kelley (aka moboid) has worked at Human Code, Ion Storm-Austin, and UbiSoft, on AAA games such as Splinter Cell 2: Chaos Theory and Thief: Deadly Shadows. Kelley has also worked on interactive smart-toys, hand-held games, and is a co-founder of the experimental gaming collective Kokoromi.

While working with Kokoromi, Kelley produced and curated the GAMMA event which promotes experimental games as creative expression in social context. Kelley also co-curated the 2012 exhibition Joue le jeu / Play Along at La Gaîté lyrique in Paris, France. Kelley has been prominent in creating games centered around female sexuality through her design of the original version of the OhMiBod Remote app, which used the iPhone touch screen to control a connected vibrator, and Lapis, where the player used the Nintendo DS to play with a rabbit in a manner that mimicked the female orgasm.

In 2011, Kelley was named one of the most influential women in technology by Fast Company. She was also named as one of the five most powerful women in gaming by Inc. magazine in 2013.
