Biographical Note

William A. Darter, a plumber and engineer, was a student in the College of Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin from 1909 to 1911. He was the maker of a balsa wood model of the UT Santa Rita No. 1 oil derrick and of a model of the Old Main Building, among other buildings.
