Biographical Note

Phonsie E. Campbell earned a BS degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 1925 and earned her MA degree circa 1932. She died in 1974 in Palestine, Texas.

William Seneca Sutton (1860-1928) was appointed instructor in education at The University of Texas at Austin in 1897. He became professor of education in 1905, Dean of the School of Education in 1909, and served as acting President of the university in 1923 and 1924. In 1927 he became Dean Emeritus.
