Biographical Note

George Mueller Lewis was born in Ithaca, NY in 1941 and attended the University of Texas. He taught at Randolph Macon College in Ashland, VA before becoming a professor of English at Fresno State university, where he worked from 1970-1982. In 1970 he published his first novel, Luminous Night. Lewis was diagnosed with Acute Leukemia in 1983. After his diagnosis Lewis began writing prolifically, completing a journal, an autobiography, a second novel and other assorted writings. Lewis’s leukemia returned and he died in 1986.
