A Guide to the J.J. Lagowski Manuscripts, 1962 and undated
J.J. Lagowski completed his Ph.D. in 1959 at Cambridge University. That same year he joined the Department of Chemistry faculty at The University of Texas at Austin as an Assistant Professor. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 1963 and Full Professor in 1967. In 2008, he retired from the university and was named a Professor Emeritus. Professor Lagowski died on April 29th, 2014.
The J.J. Lagowski Manuscripts, 1962 and undated, include typed manuscript copies of two of Lagowski’s works, The Structure of Atoms, a chemistry book which describes the development of knowledge regarding the structure of atoms and their components, and The Chemical Bond, an attempt to organize the investigations and ideas contributing to the knowledge and understanding of the nature of the chemical bond.
