Historical Note

The University Democrats at the University of Texas at Austin was established in 1953 and is the largest and oldest political organization on UT's campus. The club is one of the largest College Democrats chapters in the country and their mission is to bring Democratic values to UT, Texas, and the United States through progressive student activism, encouraging students to participate in the political process, and influencing policy in the Capitol.
