Historical Note

The Jester Center is a residence hall and classroom facility that was completed in 1969. The Jester center is named after former governor and chairman of the Board of Regents, Beauford H. Jester. The residence hall accommodates 3,000 men and women, and served as UT’s first co-educational hall. Also in the Jester Center is an auditorium, store, and service center.
