A Guide to the UT Committee on Salary Scales and Problems of Recruitment and Retention of Teaching Staff Report, 1948
In 1946 the special committee of the Faculty Council published a report called, "Salary Scales and Problems of Teacher Retention and Recruitment at the University of Texas." The 1948 report is a continuation of the 1946 report. The reports recommend salary scales for the teaching staff at UT and were placed in effect by the Board of Regents. The two factors in the report that are given major consideration are the cost of living for the faculty and outside competition for the faculty.
The report is from a special committee of the Faculty Council about the salary scales and the problems of teacher retention and recruitment at UT. The report contains questionnaires, data on teaching staff, and tables and graphs.
