Historical Note

Established in 1937, the UT College of Fine Arts is comprised of three departments: Art&Art History, the Butler School of Music, and the Department of Theater&Dance. Within these three departments are multiple fine arts programs, indluding classical music, jazz, opera, drama, dance, scenic design, musical composition, playwriting, graphic design, and studio art.
