Hisotrical Note

The Bugle Boy is a “listening room” located on La Grange, Texas, which offers a wide variety of concerts of American roots music by independent artists performing original works. It is housed in a WWII military barrack and takes its name from the Andrews Sisters’ 1940’s hit “Boogie Woogie” Bugle Boy. Lane Gosnay, who operates the venue together with a group of volunteers, founded it in 2004 with the idea of creating an intimate experience for both the singer/songwriter/artist and the audience. The Bugle Boy Foundation is a non-profit organization aimed to secure the long-term sustainability of this music venue. In addition, the Bugle Boy Foundation sponsors a Talent Trust for artists and it is the Fayette County ambassador for a number of community outreach music based programs for kids, veterans, hospice patients and nursing homes.
