Biographical Note

Ellen Spiro is an award-winning documentary filmmaker and University of Texas professor. Her films include Fixing the Future (2010-12), Body of War (2007), Troop 1500 (2005) and Are the Kids Alright? (2003). Phil Donahue began his journalism career in 1957 and is best-known for his pioneering talk show, The Phil Donahue Show. He has won nine Emmys and was inducted into the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Hall of Fame 1993.
