Abstract: The 160th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron Photographs Collection consists of approximately 300 photographic prints taken by the 160th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron during World War II in Germany. Most images are detailed aerial views of key positions, showing gun emplacements, tanks, and factories. Also included is a small group of original and copy prints of candid snapshots of the squadron at camp and a bound history of the squadron, probably published soon after the conclusion of the war.

Historical Note

The United States Air Force’s 160th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron conducted aerial intelligence flights during World War II over Axis-controlled territory in France, the Low Countries and occupied Germany.
