Biographical NoteFrank Webster Pearce served during World War II in the Texas 36th Division as well as in the 111th Engineer Combat Battalion in the North African, Italian, and German theaters. His son, John Allen Pearce, wrote “Footprints of a Private With the Texas Army,” based on his father’s diary and correspondence.
