Music writer Allan Vorda began interviewing 1960s rock groups in 1981. He wrote Psychedelic Psounds: Interviews from A to Z with 60s Psychedelic and Garage Bands as well as being published by DISCoveries, Relix, and Cum Notis Variorum, among others.

Composed of audiocassettes and transcripts of interviews, photographs, magazines, and his book, Psychedelic Psounds, the Allan Vorda Music History Collection, 1977-1993, chronicle musicians and groups from the 1960s. Artists include Ted Nugent, Big Brother and the Holding Company, Archie Bell, Arthur Brown, the Buckinghams, the Coachmen, the 13th Floor Elevators, Fever Tree, Bubble Puppy, Josefus, the Kingsmen, Martha and the Vandellas, Question Mark, the Rascals, Seeds, Small Faces, Spirit, the Turtles, and Vanilla Fudge. Interviews include transcripts, notes, questions, contact information, and research on the band. Photographs are of interview subjects, while publications (mostly DISCoveries) include his interviews.
