Biographical Note

Hailing from South Texas near Corpus Christi, singer/songwriter/troubador Bianca De Leon went to school in Houston and studied classical guitar. She struck up a friendship with Townes Van Zandt, who would prove to be a big influence in De Leon's life and music, which often concentrates on life along the borderlands of Texas and Mexico. Despite the regional subjects of her songwriting, De Leon's work has been well received in Europe. Her song Six Pack of Misery was featured in the 2006 film Cut Off, and High Timin’ Girl was used in the video game Big Mother Truckers 2.
