Scope and Contents

The John M. Pinto Videotape consists of separate video packages recorded to one videotape. All packages focus on events in Albany, Texas. The “Matthews-Reynolds Stone Ranch Dedication” documents a ceremony commemorating one of Shackelford County’s earliest and largest cattle ranches. “The Fort Griffin Fandangle” covers an annual parade and outdoor play/musical celebrating the area’s history and settlement. “The Collector: The Old Jail Art Center” starts with a short vignette of scenes and people from Albany, then goes on to cover the opening week of The Old Jail Art Center, with stakeholder interviews and audience footage.

Coverage of a ceremony dedicating the Matthews-Reynolds Old Stone Ranch and telling the history of its settlement, including stories of cattle ranching and battles with the Kiowa and Comanche Native American tribes. Contains interviews with members of the Old Jail Art Foundation and museum visitors. May be a rough version.
